MHA Clinical Director Kimberly Binaso, Pharm.D. Awarded 2009 ASHP Fellow
May 21, 2009 (Florham Park, NJ): Managed Health Care Associates, Inc. (MHA), the largest Alternate Site GPO in the country is pleased to announce that Kimberly Binaso-Stwalley, Pharm.D. has been named a 2009 Fellow by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) in recognition of her leadership and excellence achieved in pharmacy practice. Along with Dr. Binaso-Stwalley, thirty-one other pharmacists also Designated Fellows of ASHP, will be honored during the ASHP Summer Meeting, June 16, 2009 in Rosemont, IL.
Dr. Binaso is the Director of Clinical Services at MHA where she is responsible for leading the team that provides clinical support services to MHA's members. Dr. Binaso is a well-respected industry expert. She has lectured extensively at local, regional, and national industry meetings on various clinical topics in geriatrics including annual meetings of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists and the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists. She serves as a National Visiting Professor and Long Term Care Expert Presenter contributing posters and articles on a variety of geriatric clinical issues. Dr. Binaso was published in the American Journal of Geriatric Pharmacotherapy in December 2006 as part of an expert panel devising Best Practice Guidelines for Alzheimer's Disease in Managed Care.
