David Holladay
Chief Executive Officer
David serves as
CEO of Managed Health Care Associates, Inc. (MHA), a leading health care
services and software company and the largest group purchasing
organization (GPO) in the US focused on the needs of the alternate site health
care provider.
David is focused
to deliver on the MHA commitment to expand and deliver value for our national
membership. As a key part of this commitment, David leads the charge to evolve,
assess and refine post-acute solution models and approaches and evaluate new opportunities
to deliver against our member commitments to help people live their healthiest
lives.
He brings more
than 20 years of experience in the health care space. Most recently, David was the
President of Access & Adherence at CoverMyMeds, where he led the team
responsible for building health care technology solutions and services focused
on solving patient challenges from prescribing to medication access and
adherence.
Prior to
CoverMyMeds, David served in executive leadership roles in the payer, PBM and
technology industries over the past two decades. He served as President of
Government Pharmacy services at Cigna HealthSpring and served in multiple
leadership roles within Humana Pharmacy, providing strategic leadership and
responsibility for all parts of the Medicare and commercial pharmacy business.
Gloria P. Barr
Executive Vice President and General Counsel
Gloria Barr has served as General Counsel since joining the company in August 2009. In this role she is responsible for all legal matters related to MHA and its businesses. Gloria brings to MHA over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare and pharmaceutical services industries. Prior to joining MHA, Gloria was Deputy General Counsel at Catalent Pharma Solutions (formerly a division of Cardinal Health) and held roles of increasing responsibility in the law departments of Cardinal Health and Warner-Lambert Company (now part of Pfizer). Gloria began her career as a Corporate Associate at the firm of Davis Polk & Wardwell. Gloria received a BA from Vassar College and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center.

Fred Bonaccorso
Executive Vice President, Navigator
Fred Bonaccorso serves as Executive Vice President, Navigator Group Purchasing, Inc., an MHA company. Navigator is the leader in skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living, and CCRC purchasing services. Having joined Navigator in 2018, Fred is responsible for strategy and operations. He brings to the role extensive experience in food service equipment and supplies as well as health care, including senior living, nursing homes and hospitality supplies. Prior to Navigator, Fred was President at M. Tucker, a division of the Singer Equipment Company, and before then served as VP and GM at Sysco Guest Supply. He is a graduate of Long Island University.

Tom Hermey
Executive Vice President, Technology and Operations
Tom Hermey serves as Executive Vice President of Technology and Operations for MHA. In this role he is responsible for GPO operational activities and internal technology, and also supports the technology products that enable our member community. Tom has more than 25 years of technology background and has held a range of roles in the technology function, including Senior Managing Partner holding end-to-end responsibility for software as a service business operations. He bring extensive experience in health care technology and played a role in defining the implementation of the ACA in NY state as the technical architect for the largest Managed Medicare program in NYC. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and is currently pursuing his MBA.
Edward F. Izbicki, Jr.
Executive Vice President, Trade Relations
Edward F. Izbicki, Jr., Executive Vice President, Trade Relations, is responsible for MHA’s Trade Relations function which includes development and management of MHA’s portfolio of brand, generic, specialty pharmaceuticals, Medical Products and Services, and Business Products and Services. Edward also has responsibility for MHA’s Clinical Services. Edward has more than 19 years of health care experience in the GPO and wholesale industry, with a focus on sales leadership, contracting strategies, and blood plasma product growth strategies in the post-acute market. He joined MHA in 2005 as a Regional Account Representative, moving to sales leadership roles of increasing responsibility. In 2015, Edward was promoted to Vice President, Trade Relations, with responsibility for MHA’s medical products and services portfolio in addition to generic injectables. Edward is based out of MHA's Florham Park, New Jersey, office. He received a master’s degree from Montclair State University and a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Bryant University.
John Lees
Senior Vice President, Operations
John Lees, Ph.D., as the Senior Vice President of Operations, holds responsibility for MHA’s Operations functions, including Contract Operations, Membership and Reconciliation, Vendor and Claims Data. John started his career with Booz Allen Hamilton, the strategy and management consultancy. After leaving Booz Allen, he joined MedAssets. His focus was to establish a center of excellence to implement Lean Six Sigma, and this focus saw John collaborating across all operating units to identify opportunities to better serve the company’s broad GPO membership, and to create large operational efficiencies and revenue gains. Success there saw John become MedAssets President of Revenue Cycle Services. This position provided John with direct member contact and also included responsibility for IT operations and development functions. John received a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Virginia and a doctorate in Physics from the University of Georgia.

Russell Procopio
Executive Vice President, Post-Acute Pharmacy Team
Russell Procopio brings more than 28 years of leadership experience in the GPO service business, health care and clinical technology as well as distribution experience to his role as Executive Vice President, Post-Acute Pharmacy Team at MHA. In this role, he is responsible for leading the account management, new business development, and MHA network operations teams, in addition to the segment’s growth and strategic development. Throughout Russ’ career, he has served in various Sales, Marketing and Operational executive leadership roles in health care companies such as University of Pennsylvania Health System, Aramark Healthcare, AmerisourceBergen Corporation and Johnson & Johnson. Prior to joining MHA, Russ served as President of Foodbuy in Charlotte, NC. Russ holds a Master of Business Administration from Widener University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance & Accounting from Saint Joseph University.
